The Belgian Quinoa

The Quinobel adventure begins an important turn, surely its last.
The current covid crisis has been the episode too many for the weakening of our family project of sustainable agriculture and healthy eating.
These five years since its creation have been an invaluable series of encounters, challenges, successes, failures and learning, each enriching in its own way.
However, we had to admit bankruptcy at the beginning of the week because we were unable to continue our activity for longer due to our excessive fixed costs in relation to our sales.
We hope that this bankruptcy will not mean the complete oblivion of this reasoned conventional sector and especially not that quinoa would be in-cultivable nor salable in Belgium. A project of this
type must however be extremely aware of its fragility in the face of competing imports and differences in the balance of commercial forces.
